that He remains detached from it. Every aspect of the world has been made according to God’s wishes through His only Son Jesus Christ. The environment comprises of everything both spiritual and physical. As Downey & Porter (2009) reveals, God entrusted man as the steward of the environment.
Health

Health, in a Christian worldview is the ability to function with God, others, self as well as the environment in harmony. According to Colossians 1 (New International Version), people are required to pray for others to gain relevant knowledge on the will of God in their lives as evidenced in the way Paul prayed that his people will live a worthy life while receiving strength from God.

Nursing

Nurses assist people and communities to respond to actual or potential alterations in health status. In Colossians 1:12 (New International Version), nursing is referred as holistic and involves caring for the sociological, physical, and cultural dimensions of the individual. Nurses advocate by offering direct care for clients and coordinating care among members of the interdisciplinary health care. The act of nursing is not to just responding to human requirements and suffering, but it is a direct response to God’s grace towards his people (Shelly & Miller, 2006).

What tensions might occur from the differing worldviews of administrators, health care providers, and patients?

Worldviews are a set of beliefs and suppositions that express how cultures interpret and elaborate their experience (Polifroni & Welch, 1999). The process of offering health services in hospitals is innately interdisciplinary since many of the challenges to improving quality and safety comprises the human aspects emanating from the different worldviews. Administrators, health care providers, and patients will always have differing worldviews

depending on one’s culture. Some of the tensions include;

Wrong Interpretation of Illnesses by Patients

The tensions brought about by the differing worldviews of patients will elaborate how they interpret a certain illness, and this can lead to endangering the life of the patient (Huston, 2014). Their belief might be wrongly interpreted leading to worse situations. Even though world views are significant for humans to make sense of their life, they can give rise to bias and discrimination among health care providers.

Conflicts Between Health Care Providers and Administrators

Worldviews lead to conflicts in clinical interrelations or between patient populations and health systems (Shelly & Miller, 2006). These conflicts are experienced between health care providers and administrators in healthcare institutions. This form of conflicts leads to tension that affects the entire system disrupting the processes in the healthcare center.

Religious Prejudice

This comprises the stereotyping of specific groups of people like those observed in the phenomenon illustrated by Muslims. Religious prejudice does not essentially lead to discriminatory acts but it is probable for it to translate into directly discriminatory actions though choices taken by people in high positions in health care institutions.
