Participating in a mini enterprise offers students the chance to gain an understanding of business set-up and operations in the real world. A mini enterprise is a small business that operates for a short period of time.
Our mini enterprise was created to assess our ability to work collaboratively, operate a business successfully, and generate substantial proceeds for a chosen charity. This document outlines our business ideas and details how we intend to implement them. We have identified our target market through a comprehensive analysis that involved conducting questionnaires. Based on the results, we concluded that there is a significant demand for the hotdogs we plan to sell.
We opted to sell a different type of food product compared to other participating businesses. Hence, we concluded to set up a food stall ven
...ding hotdogs and drinks as we believe this would be a hit. Our business venture aims to cater to teachers and students at Langley Wood School providing them their preferred food item. Based on our survey, we found out that hotdogs were the most preferred hot food product. Subsequently, we planned to sell long frankfurter hotdogs in a long bread roll at the price of 65p per piece.
Instead of packaging, our hot dog rolls are served on a napkin. We'll also offer canned drinks for 40p each, based on research showing Coca Cola and Sprite are the most popular choices among customers.
Production: At Asda, we plan to purchase 120 hotdogs and 120 long bread rolls. Additionally, we'll obtain 4 onions, 2 large tubes of tomato ketchup, 1 big tube of mayonnaise, and 1 big tube of mustard. Our daily selection consists of 30 hotdogs, 3
long finger rolls, and 12 cans each of Sprite and Coca Cola. Should we deplete our supply of canned drinks or food, Christopher will acquire more from our storage location. To last the week, we'll acquire a package of 200 napkins.
We have sufficient inventory to sell 30 hot dogs and 24 canned beverages daily. In the event of a shortage, I will procure additional merchandise in the evening and deliver it to the school the following day.
