Introduction
Marijuana, commonly known as; Cannabis sativa or cannabis India, is a plant grown in both east and west countries. The use of Marijuana in the present society has been perceived from different perspectives. Some groups have perceived it positively whereas a large number of people still take it to be a dangerous substance. Based on the different researches conducted by various study groups, results giving credit to both sides have been obtained. It therefore remains a subject of great deliberation both in the media and the real life situations as to whether the use of Marijuana should be legalized (Belo & Joan 138). It has some negative diverse effects on the body, when smoked. Research carried out recently, by the scientists, show that Marijuana has over six health and medicinal effects in human body.
Firstly, Marijuana has two a
...ctive chemicals; Tetrahydrocannabinal(THC) which is a pain relieving chemical and more other properties essential to the human body and Cnnabidiol (CBD) is yet another chemical that impacts the brain by relieving stress. Secondly, a research carried out by the natural high institute, revealed that marijuana can be used to treat and prevention of high diseases and glaucoma, which increases pressure in the eyeball. It can also reverse casein genic effects of tobacco and improved lung capacity as revealed by the journal media association. Thirdly, CBD; chemical found in marijuana prevents cancerous cells from spreading by turning off the gene Id1.
The use of marijuana has been associated with the reversal of the carcinogenic effects that are brought about by the use of tobacco and in other cases in the improvement of the state of lung health. This situation i
brought about by taking deep breaths while inhaling the drug which in return improves the health of the lungs. The state is solely based on taking the breaths and not on any chemical that is contained in marijuana (Caulkins et al 61)
The use of marijuana according to other studies has been seen to assist in the prevention of epileptic seizures. In this case, the ingredients in marijuana tend to bind themselves onto the brain cells that play the role of controlling relaxation in the body.
The use of marijuana like any other drug is an expensive habit. Since many tend to get addicted in the use of the drug, they are forced to stay in possession of a good amount of money to obtain the drug for their regular use. Since having a continuous source of income is a challenge for the ordinary citizens, many of the victims tend to engage in activities that are in most cases illegal in a bid to acquire the money. As a result, the state of security has been worsening due to the increase in the illegal activities that these individuals engage in.
Continuous use of marijuana leads to improper reasoning. As a result, the victims tend to engage in irrational activities and as a result, their relationship with other people tends to weaken. Due to their violent behavior, their marriages usually tend to face the risk of collapse (Morgan & Kayla 21). Still on the same point, their levels of decision making usually drop drastically and this reduces their chances of engaging in any economic task.
Conclusion
In conclusion marijuana when used properly has a beneficial effect in the body. Clearly marijuana
health and medicinal purposes outweigh the adverse effects.
