Abstraction

This study is about pupils who are making PT 2009. There are two classs who are making this topic. They are Physical scientific discipline pupils and Industrial statistics and Mathematical finance pupils. A questionnaire was given them to roll up informations and the informations collected was analyzed. Different relationships were obtained and they were compared.

Introduction

This statistical study is about an analysis of pupils who are making PT 2009 topic. There were 161 pupils who are making PT 2009 from IS and PS watercourses. All of them were given a questionnaire to reply and informations was collected. Some of the variables in the undermentioned study are z score, type of the school, family’s one-year income etc. These variables can be divided chiefly into two as qualitative and quantitative.

These informations are presented in pictural signifier every bit good as in tabular signifier.

  • How to utilize Minitab package to hive away and analyse informations.
  • ...
  • How to utilize informations collected meaningfully to do relationships between two variables.
  • How to construe presented information.
  • Methodology

Component Bar Chart- A saloon chart which shows within each saloon the constituents that make up the saloon ; each constituent is represented by a subdivision proportional in size to its representation in the sum of each saloon.

    Examples:

Histogram- a diagram consisting of rectangles whose country is relative to the frequence of a variable and whose breadth is equal to the category interval.

    Examples:

Scatter Plot- a graph in which the values of two variables are plotted along two axes, the form of the ensuing points uncovering any correlativity nowadays.

    Examples:

rectangle is drawn to stand for the 2nd and 3rd quartiles, normally with a perpendicular line inside to bespeak the average value. The lower and upper quartiles are shown as horizontal lines either side of the rectangle.

Examples:

Pie Chart- a type of graph in which a circle is divided into sectors that each represent a proportion of the whole.

Outline of the study

In the subdivision 2 of the study ; analysis and reading subdivision ; informations which was collected from the questionnaire were analyzed and different relationships were obtained between different variables. And they were presented in tabular and pictural signifiers. Then readings are written for those relationships.

Analysis AND INTERPRETATION

Gender Course
IS PS
Male 30 56
Female 21 54

Figure 1: Percentage of Males and Females in the PS and IS watercourses

Harmonizing to the above figure there is about same figure of males and females in the physical scientific discipline watercourse but, in the industrial statistics and mathematical finance stream the figure of males are higher than the figure of females.

Figure 2:Height of the pupils in the PS and IS watercourses

Harmonizing to the above figure most of the pupils are around 165 centimeter tallness. Shortest 1s are less than 150 centimeter and tallest 1s are around 187.5 centimeter.

The distribution of tallness among the physical scientific discipline and industrial statistics and mathematical finance pupils are symmetric.

Figure 3:Analysis of family’s monthly income Vs Monthly phone measure in PS and IS watercourses

The above graph is non a additive 1. Harmonizing to the above graph the monthly phone measure of most of the pupils is Rs. 500/= or less than that and their family’s monthly income is Rs. 100,000/= or less than that. The maximal phone measure among the physical scientific discipline and industrial statistics and mathematical finance is Rs. 3000/= , and the family’s monthly income of that individual is less than Rs. 100,000/= . The individual with the highest family’s monthly income which is between Rs.600,000/= and Rs.700,000/= has monthly phone measure

Figure 4: The monthly nomadic measure Vs the service supplier

Harmonizing to the above figure the Hutch uses has the highest median of the monthly Mobile measure which is 900 while duologue users and mobitel utilizations has the least average of the monthly Mobile measure which is 400. Among the physical scientific discipline and industrial statistics and mathematical finance pupils most use Mobitel as their service supplier and least used service suppliers are hutch and Etisalat

Class Course
IS PS
Yes 98 % 91.8 %
Not certain 2 % 8.2 %

Figure 5: Preference for a particular grade plan by IS and PS watercourse pupils

Harmonizing to the above figure IS pupils are most likely to a particular grade than PS pupils. Others are non certain of making a particular grade. When we take both watercourses ; IS and PS as a whole, more than 85 % have the penchant of making a particular grade.

Class Course
IS PS
Yes 30.4 % 31.8 %
No 15.2 % 19.1 %
Not Certain 54.3 % 49.1 %

Figure 6: Preference for a

4G degree plan by IS and PS watercourse pupils

Harmonizing to the above figure IS pupils are non certain of making the 4G degree plan. But more figure of PS pupils don’t like to make the 4G degree plan. Approximately same figure of pupils from the both watercourses wants to make the 4G degree plan.

Figure 7: The relationship between the z-score and the two classs ; IS and PS

IS pupils have a high scope of z-scores and has a high median than the PS pupils. There are outliers in this figure. Outliers for IS pupils are below the scope which was taken in to consideration. For PS pupils there is merely one outlier and that is above the scope.

Figure 8: The relationship between the figure of hours of slumber and the class

Harmonizing to the above figure the two scopes of two classs are the same But there are outliers of the two scopes For IS pupils there is one outlier which is below the scope and for the PS pupils there are 7 outliers and they are besides below the scope.

PROBLEMS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

  • Some pupils have non understood some inquiries in the questionnaire, so they have either kept them blank or answered incorrect. They were considered as losing values when the information was analysing. As a recommendation to this job pupils should hold been educated about inquiries in the questionnaire.
  • When giving measurings like tallness pupils have used different units, so when come ining informations had to alter all the informations in to the same unit. Even in this job if the inquiry says give the reply in a specific unit there won’t be

a job like this.

Decision

  • There are higher figure of males who are making PT 2009 topic
  • Most of the pupils have their tallness around 165 centimeter
  • Most of the pupils have their monthly household income Rs. 100000 or less than that and their monthly phone measures Rs. 500 or less than that
  • Among the pupils who are making PT 2009 Hutch users have the highest norm of their monthly phone measure
  • IS pupils are more likely to make a particular grade than the PS pupils
  • Approximately same figure of pupils from the both watercourses want to make the 4G grade
  • IS pupils have a high mean omega mark than the PS pupils
  • Both IS and PS pupils have the same scope of kiping hours.
