I am happy with the progress of my first few weeks as a first-year student at New River Community College compared to Tidewater.
At this college, the classes are so tiny that the teacher personally engages with every student, knowing them by name and doing their best to assist. The campus is also compact enough to get familiar with in the initial few days of attending classes. The advisor and counselors are extremely supportive in guiding me towards my desired career path. I wonder if a larger community college would provide a similar experience. Tidewater Community College is a suitable alternative to New River Community College.
While NRCC and TCC both offer similar and different majors, the main distinctions between these schools are in sports, activities, tuition, and cost of living. Both are 2-year community colleges with no on-campus housing. NRCC is situated

In Norfolk, a suburban area, there are transportation options such as subways and buses. On the other hand, Dublin, a rural area, has limited transportation choices. The number of undergraduates at NRCC is significantly lower in comparison to TCC's 30,124 undergraduates. NRCC i
located in a rural area and has 5,083 undergraduates. Consequently, NRCC's tuition is lower than TCC's. For in-state students at NRCC, the tuition is $123 per credit hour or $8,000 per year whereas TCC charges $124 per credit hour or $13,000 per year. Both NRCC and TCC provide various activities and sports.
