I was playing with my computer in my room when my elder sister, who was watching television suddenly shouted MR. results will be out tomorrow! It has just been announced on television! " I hurried to the living room where the television was placed but the announcement was over. "The announcer said that you have to go too school early tomorrow morning to get your results," my sister told me. That night I could not sleep. I tossed and turned in bed. Although I had worked very hard. I was not sure that what results I would get.

Wicked I fail after all the hard work I had put in? No, that would be impossible! Then what would I would get? How many distinctions would I obtain? Those thoughts kept turning in my head, making

sleep impossible. Early the next morning , I cycled to school. When I reached there, there were already hundreds of other pupils there. It seemed that we were too early. The results would only be available at ten o'clock. So, we had to wait another hour. When the teacher who was in charge came out of the office , we rushed towards him. The teacher told us to queue up.

We lined up and were given our result slips. There were shouts of happiness, cries of disappointment and indecipherable silence as each pupil received his or her result slip. Each time a pupil cried out in disappointment , my heart missed a beat. Wicked my results make me behave in the same way? Finally, it was my turn to receive the precious slip of paper. as I collected the small slip of paper from the teacher. I mumbled my thanks and moved out of the line of waiting pupils. My friends eagerly asked what results I had obtained but I Just ignored them.

I went to a part of the school where there was no one. Slowly, as if I was playing cards, I opened the slip of paper. I was praying all the time. Then, I saw my results. My eyes misted over. ' had obtained the maximum number of eight distinctions. A feeling of great Joy welled up in me. Everybody-the principal , my teachers , my family members and even strangers congratulated me. For the next few weeks I was treated like a hero. Everyone wanted to know the secret of my success. When I told them that it was nothing but hard work , they did not believe me!
