Christine Taylor grew up as a child in a physical environment that allowed her to succeed. She worked in a bait and tackle business that was owned by her parents in which the only thing acceptable was hard work since the age of eight.

Growing up in an environment with dogs and horses as pets, she knew she wanted to work with animals and learned dog grooming skills from working in a local salon. At 16, she left school and began her own grooming business on a part-time basis, using a bathtub in the family garage.

She may not have completed high school, but she is clearly intelligent, much focused, hard-working, and she has a strong motivation to succeed. Since she was still too young to drive, her parents would take her to pick up the dogs from their owners. Sh

Soon, it became a full-time Job. She hired assistants to help her handle the business. The next step was to add a second trailer. After married, she and her husband David Manager ploughed their profit into the purchase of additional trailers and gradually expended until they had six mobile rallies.

In other words, motivated franchisees "rent" Amp's business expertise and its trailers, leveraged by AMP-controlled advertising, and seek to build business within exclusive territories. Expansion into other states has been achieved through appointment of franchise sales managers. Master franchisees also leverage the ability to expand in new locations. This environment allowed her to study hard in school and create a drive within her to succeed.

Through her studies and research, we decided that she wanted her business model to be a franchise with Susie Pooch She also knew that there is a market for her mobile dog wash business but it required bringing on the right people (franchisees), with a good business model that was low in fees and the processes & training offered by AMP.

She also believed that focused in a niche business and a great promotional strategy will allow Susie Pooch Mobile to attract customers as well as new franchisees. Her use of designing the trailers to be a moving billboard will give her great word of mouth advertising.

The process and design of her business will enable franchisees to deliver both quality & efficient dog washing service. There is a market for this service if delivered professionally and consistently by friendly, competent franchisees who relate well to both dogs and their owners.

Expansion has been at a steady and manageable rate. Taylor seems to have avoided the trap of seeking excessively fast growth, which can lead to loss of control, poor-quality franchisees who fail, and sometimes cash-flow robbers for the parent franchiser.
