well as fulfilling my tasks and responsibilities as a student in the ENG 112 class. As the semester comes to an end, I am happy that I have met most of my set expectations and goals except for some one or two areas where I could have done better. I have also experienced a couple of challenges and obstacles some of which I did not anticipate at the beginning of the semester.

My biggest highlight from ENG 112 are the skills, knowledge and personal growth I have had an opportunity to develop, nature and refined on research writing from the class work. As an art student, I have learned methodological methods and procedures of looking up for information from primary sources and secondary sources such as literature book materials. I have also learned how to accurately and responsibly document information from primary and secondary sources specific to my field of discipline. The application of writing and research to achieve intended purpose discipline of art is another skill I have acquired in the ENG, 112 class. The public oral presentation is another important skill I have learned from the ENG 112 class through individual and collaborative class assignments. The assignment required us to find a suitable research topic, carry out the research, draft a report on the findings, and orally present the results in front of the other students. Discussion forums we held in class equipped us with the knowledge of developing persuasive arguments. The experience of working in groups also gave us an opportunity to grow and develop social skills such as tolerance and communication.

The challenges and obstacles I faced during the semester in ENG 112

were minor; mainly to do with working in groups. The difference in personalities and interest among the members of my group complicated arrangement of sessions to do the class work. This situation complicated allocation of tasks within the group resulting in a delay of submission of the work.

In conclusion, ENG 112 is an important course which every student in the college should take, whatever the discipline they are pursuing. Research and writing are an important skill which every student should strive to develop and perfect. For me, the skills I have acquired in this field will assist me to undertake academic and professional tasks which require the application of this research and writing skills.
