This incident report provides a brief explanation of how I applied the material I read for my first Work base learning. I used A Firewater's 2006 7 simple steps to planning your day's learning objectives and Kolas' four concepts of learning cycle (1994) to manage my daily time effectively. By doing so, I was able to save 20% of my time. In this report, I reflect on the materials I read, including books from BUBBY and internet websites. I also discuss how I applied Kolas' theory of frameworks and A Firewater's methods for time management. I used Time management online books from BUBBY as a second opinion. This involves preparing in advance and organizing my dad's home, as well as adopting a new time management approach. The approach includes utilizing a day planner, creating a to-do list, assigning tasks to others, and following both Firewater's four methods (2006) and the Time Management methods (BUY 30).

The reading materials were planned with my two sisters. I am reflecting on how yesterday's meeting at Olympia hospital went. It would have been preferable if my sister Sharon could have attended, but unfortunately, she had work commitments that prevented her from coming. If she hadn't had these commitments, we wouldn't have needed to communicate what the doctors said during the meeting. Another reflection is that this issue needs to be addressed for future meetings.

In order to manage my time effectively and address the needs of my father, I will create and adhere to a new time management plan, schedule meetings, prepare for future life changes, and seek advice from medical staff regarding future events. My actions will involve following the doctor's advice, organizing a family meeting with my sister to discuss the meeting's outcome, and delegating tasks and responsibilities based on each person's availability and skills. Additionally, I will have discussions with my two sisters to emphasize the importance of sticking to a proper time management structure.

I will explain to them the significance of inputting their thoughts into the diary about dad's health and completing the To Do list and Dump It Lists. Out of Alan Firewater's four learning objective methods, I found three to be highly beneficial. However, I also gained valuable experience and learned a lesson from these four methods.

They taught me the importance of valuing my time, planning my work in advance, and staying committed to completing tasks until the end.

Most importantly, it taught me the importance of honesty with myself and considering delegating tasks to my sisters in order to gain more experience with their learning objectives and improve my future experiments in time management. One method I attempted was "planning your day the night before" by writing out all my tasks and goals. However, this approach proved to be unsuccessful due to unexpected events that occasionally interfered with the tasks I had already scheduled for the day. Some common faults that occurred are listed below. Each task was given a maximum completion time of 30 minutes to help improve my time management. Despite my efforts, there were instances where tasks overlapped by a few minutes. I attempted various ways to change the way these tasks were done, but the only way I was able to finish one task early was with assistance from another person, saving me 12 minutes.

The advantage of planning ahead is that it can help save time by creating a Daily chart of all the Jobs and converting it into a "Dodo list" - listing the difficult Jobs first and the easy ones later. I use Microsoft office software on my computer. I also seek other forms of learning on time management from materials such as the internet for planning time management eateries and A Firewater (2006), the four chosen methods resources I am currently using.

The second method, named "To be honest with myself" by A Firewater, involves self-reflection on areas for improvement

and the actions taken to address them. The effectiveness of these actions is evaluated and if they prove unsuccessful, modifications are contemplated. This approach has proven beneficial in making significant choices and foreseeing potential future illnesses. At a certain moment, the author ponders on the possibility of going back to work as a care assistant and enhancing their performance. The outcome of this inquiry remains uncertain regarding future vacation plans.

The findings of this experiment to evaluate time management in my workplace suggest that by seeking assistance and delegating tasks to others, I can save time and avoid wasting it on unnecessary tasks. During this experience, I have acquired a range of new work skills. Through this, I have learned the difference between informal writing (such as reports and chatting in the TGIF) and formal writing, which is structured and academic in nature.

Using my computer as a resource is essential for improving time management planning. It provides a built-in diary that allows me to keep my appointments and times updated. Additionally, it serves as an excellent tool for my online studies, allowing me to utilize Microsoft Office for creating new time sheets and storing information related to my team and courses. Moreover, it enables me to utilize the internet for managing my time, self, and career through various learning resources. In following the seven simple steps outlined by Alan Firewater (2006) in "7 simple steps to get more out of your day," I can effectively plan and improve my time

management.

During Weeks 12-14, I will focus on Time Management and Self and Career Management. I will research the learning objectives and topics related to Self And Career Management and create a new section in my learning journal. I will also make updates and changes to my LLC contract based on my tutor's comments. Additionally, I will research my two WBI objectives which are time management and self-career management. To document my progress, I will create a reflective journal starting from Week 12. Lastly, I will purchase a new personal daydream based on the feedback received on my marked learning contract.

The suggested steps for time management include reading the topic guide on TGIF, reflecting on fellow student postings, using the library and internet to research ways to improve daily tasks, utilizing O forum and note pad for comments and notes, reviewing the learning journal and reflective learning booklet, researching objectives on Google, studying objective notes in week 16, preparing for TAMA 3 and scouting for new improvement strategies, utilizing personal time and laptop for TAMA preparation, posting more comments on TGIF with new information found, submitting TAMA in week 17, taking a break and reviewing it before finishing TAMA 3, and seeking assistance from a mentor to ensure enough time and personal effort are dedicated for submission using computer and internet resources.

In Week 18 - 22, I will go outside and take some time by myself to prepare for EMMA Research, my second WBI. During this time, I will also share ideas on the TIGHT

computer TGIF Mentor with fellow students. In Section 5, Demonstrating your Learning, my plan is to showcase my learning and outcomes by utilizing various tables, notes, and extracts from my learning journal. To start, I will present a sample layout I created using Microsoft Office 2007 for my time management. Additionally, I will include notes from my meetings with my mentor and explore possible new ways of learning at work to enhance my time performance.
