What is Oral Communication?
Oral communication is an important form of communication that allows people to express their thoughts and feelings through speech. Oral communication has been around since the beginning of time and is one of the oldest forms of communication. It allows us to share ideas, remember information, and build relationships with others. It can also be used to persuade others and create a better understanding between two parties. The most common form of oral communication is conversation between two or more people. This type of communication involves listening, speaking, and body language. When having conversations, it is important to pay attention to nonverbal cues such as facial expressions and gestures so that messages are accurately received by all parties involved in the conversation. In addition, effective listening skills are necessary for successful conversations as well as good verbal skills when speaking in order for messages to be clearly understood by others. Oral communication also includes presentations which involve delivering a speech or telling a story in front of an audience. In order for presentations to be successful, presenters must have strong public speaking skills in order to capture the attention of their audience and deliver their message effectively. Presentations can be used for a variety of purposes such as educating an audience about a topic or selling a product or service by persuading an audience with facts and stories about its benefits. Overall, oral communication plays an essential role in our daily lives because it helps us share our thoughts quickly and efficiently with other people around us face-to-face so that we can build relationships with them more easily than other forms of media like text messaging or emailing would allow us to do so.
