What is Long Term Effects?
Exercise is an important part of maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and its long-term effects can be beneficial in many ways. Regular exercise can have numerous positive impacts on physical and mental health, leading to improved physical performance, increased energy levels and better overall psychological wellbeing. Exercise can also reduce the risk of developing serious diseases such as heart disease, stroke, diabetes, cancer and osteoporosis. On a physical level, regular exercise strengthens muscles and bones by increasing bone density through weight-bearing activities such as running or jumping. This helps increase muscle mass which can improve strength and power during athletic activities. Additionally, people who are physically active tend to have lower body fat percentages which decreases the risk for chronic illnesses such as type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease. The mental benefits of exercising are also well documented in medical research. Exercising increases endorphins which are hormones that contribute to feelings of happiness and relaxation. People who exercise regularly are more likely to experience higher self-esteem due to feeling better about their bodies plus they often have an improved outlook on life in general when compared with inactive individuals. Furthermore, studies suggest that regular exercise may even help reduce stress levels by taking focus away from daily worries while improving sleep quality at night time. In conclusion, there are many long term benefits associated with regular exercise including both physical health improvements like increased strength & endurance as well as psychological wellbeing benefits like improved mood & stress reduction. Ultimately these effects outweigh any short term inconvenience associated with being active so making sure you get enough physical activity each week should be a priority for everyone.
