What is Church Of Christ?

The Church of Christ is a Christian denomination that is committed to living by the teachings of Jesus Christ as outlined in the Bible. The Church of Christ follows a set of core beliefs and practices, which are rooted in biblical theology. The Church seeks to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and adhere to His commands for believers. The Church believes in one God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, who is the creator and sustainer of all things. It also believes that Jesus was fully human yet divine; His death on the cross atoned for humanity’s sin; He rose again from the dead; He ascended into Heaven; He will return one day to judge all people; and salvation can only be found through faith in Him. The Church teaches that baptism by immersion is necessary for salvation, as it symbolizes repentance, forgiveness and new life in Christ. Baptism should occur after an individual has accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. The Lord’s Supper (also known as Communion) should be observed regularly as a remembrance of what Jesus did for us on Calvary’s Cross. Other ordinances include footwashing (as a sign of humility), marriage solemnization (for those who are married) and blessing children (to signify their position in God’s family). The Church places great emphasis on worshiping together every Sunday both corporately through singing hymns/praise songs, praying together corporately or individually, hearing sermons from Scripture, giving offerings/tithes to support God’s work financially, observing communion regularly etc., but also encourages members to engage with fellow believers throughout the week for example: small group meetings/Bible studies etc., phone calls/text messages etc., service projects e.g.: visiting sick members or helping those not able to help themselves etc. In addition they encourage members to read their Bibles daily so they can deepen their knowledge & understanding regarding who God really is & what His will might be concerning them & other people around them. Overall, The Church Of Christ strives to follow God’s Word faithfully with reverence & obedience while sharing His love with others unconditionally.
