warm rays of sunlight, mirroring my internal bliss.

As I sat in the room, the voices from the kitchen drew closer. Surprisingly, there was a knock on the door and my father asked if they could enter. Filled with excitement, I eagerly replied, saying "Please come in!" as I anxiously anticipated whatever interesting news or information they had to share.

"We want to offer something! Would you like to go to the United States?" And here we are! My lifelong dream of being in the USA has come true, and they were actually asking for my opinion without me even bringing it up. Excitedly, I exclaimed, "Yes, yes, yes!" Traveling alone to the USA brings many valuable opportunities, but what stands out the most after deciding to study abroad is gaining self-confidence because I know that everything might be more challenging and exhausting. After a few weeks, I finally arrived in the USA. The initial impression is that everything is clean, bright, and well-organized. The people are friendly and constantly exchanging smiles."

As the story started, I was astonished as my high school friend and I left Texas to go to the U.S.A. Moving to another country filled me with excitement. There is a widespread desire among individuals from diverse cultures to explore and immerse themselves in different cultural experiences. Besides meeting people from various backgrounds, I also have the opportunity to indulge in a variety of cuisines, savoring new flavors originating from kitchens worldwide. In Texas, everything related to food is impressively enormous.

At first, I was surprised by how people showed genuine concern for others. It confused me when they asked about my well-being because I wondered

if I knew them. However, I later understood that their intentions were simply kind and uplifting, which deeply touched me. Within a month, thanks to the help of my friend who took care of everything for me, I became accustomed to life in the United States. Consequently, I no longer felt the desire for companionship or engaging with others.

By engaging in daily conversations, she assisted me in enhancing my English skills, even when I was attending classes. Nevertheless, as time passed, I observed that my shyness hindered my ability to speak and interact with people around me. Consequently, I opted to relocate to Virginia and take chances in order to restore my self-assurance and be true to myself. Ever since moving away from Texas, my life has experienced various transformations and I have made significant progress.

Studying abroad provides an opportunity to encounter a unique educational system in comparison to my native country and adjust to it. Additionally, upon commencing college in the U.S.A., I have formed friendships with individuals from diverse backgrounds who have introduced me to numerous customs and cultures, fostering the creation of a secure and joyful environment within our group. Interacting with professors and peers has further expanded my outlook. Yet, studying abroad does bring forth its own series of obstacles that must be addressed.

Although I face the challenge of paying monthly expenses such as rent, bills, and school tuition, I view these difficulties as opportunities for personal development and increased determination. Consequently, I made the decision to seek employment for the very first time. At first, I had concerns about my ability to succeed in the job and effectively communicate

in English. Fortunately, a few days later, GAP contacted me via phone to inquire about my availability for a job interview.

I was initially concerned about scheduling my interview and starting a new job in the same week because I was afraid of failing and not being able to answer any questions. However, despite my lack of understanding about my responsibilities, the first interview went well and I was offered the position. On my first day at work, my manager requested that I try on all the women's jeans so that I could familiarize myself with them in case customers had any inquiries. By the end of my shift, I felt exhausted but also fulfilled. Receiving my first paycheck gave me a sense of personal accomplishment, motivating me to set a new goal of buying a car.

Having accumulated sufficient funds, I bought a pre-owned white vehicle from a car dealership. At first, I experienced apprehension while driving in the initial month; however, I swiftly gained assurance and acquired my Driver's License from the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).

Despite the difficulties of relocating to Virginia, attending college, working, and owning a car, I have acquired valuable skills in resilience and problem-solving. These challenges have not only showcased my ability to overcome obstacles but also provided me with insights into my aspirations. Furthermore, the errors I've made throughout this journey have ultimately steered me towards the right direction.

Studying in the U.S.A has provided me with many opportunities. These include making lifelong friends, experiencing different cultures, and trying various regional foods. Additionally, having a vibrant social life has positively impacted my mental well-being. Overcoming challenges has also improved my

understanding of my capabilities. Each achievement I make allows me to explore and pursue my life goals, leading to invaluable experiences that have strengthened both my confidence and self-awareness. Ultimately, I am certain that finishing my education in the U.S.A will create numerous career prospects for me.
