mer preferences are wired towards an entirely different paradigm which plays a pivotal role in influencing the revenue streams in many corporations. The business environment is no longer the same, and it will never be business as usual unless business executives make a devoted effort to restructure their procedures to factor in the emerging trends in trade all over the world.
The complexity of the business process and transactions provide an avenue for the need of a framework in place that will aid the executive managers to manage their businesses with much ease and expertise. governance structure that will foster the integration of activities and facilitate a seamless mode of business for better performance.
The supply chain management aspect in most companies in my view is an important feature that determines the success of an organization. The supply chain management tool provides an avenue for creating relationships and interdependence framework that will link businesses together. The supply chain management forms an interconnection that is the chain which is responsible for the success of most enterprises that come together to establish a working framework through the connection (Chopra, & Meindl, 2007). The complexity of business processes in the modern arena has been the motivation behind the application of the supply chain to manage the resources efficiently and ensure the achievement of goals with little room for failures. The numbers of activities in most multinationals possess a grave risk to the ability to make considerable profits in their principal activities.
The supply chain management tool has inspired a lot of changes that has motivated a growing desire for university students to take up the course signaling the pivotal role that it plays in the modern business model. The increasing concern about the shortage of competent professionals with a supply chain management concern is an accurate observation as the industry has primarily relied on other professionals from related disciplines to discharge the supply chain mandate. The lack of competent supply chain management is a tragedy that needs to be combated head on as the businesses require personnel that are well versed with the processes and have specialized on ensuring an efficient supply chain. The unit should be independent and calls for extensive concentration for the

development of competent skills that will take up the challenges of the ever-changing market landscape.
The universities that are responsible for higher learning and other stakeholders of the business world should ensure they advocate for the development of a robust curriculum that will provide a platform for training supply chain management. The curriculum will demonstrate a very significant contribution to the achievement of a capable human skilled workforce to drive the supply chain element. The supply chain management will achieve substantive impetus in the resolution to support the business process thereby aiding an urgent requirement to address the supply chain component in most companies. The business environment is utterly dependent on the supply chain that determines the success or otherwise of a company that will demonstrate the commitment and desire of efficiency in most organizations.
The business world is faced with very stiff competition where failure is not an option if an organization is determined to be in business. A slight change or distraction that is likely to alter the corporate image of an organization negatively has an ability to pull the group down, and the consequences are always too grief to contemplate. The threats that are alive pose a significant business risk that puts a heavy burden on most business to always get it right to ensure they edge their competitors always and maintain their position with a desire to move up the pedestal. The supply chain management if not put into consideration in the multinational and most organizational processes then the ramifications will jeopardize the activities of any organization.
Another concern that is crucial in the modern business operations is the implementation of a green supply

chain management that is the heartbeat for ensuring the success of an environment that will facilitate business without exploitation. The environment is a resource that is shared by a larger ecosystem hence not a property of a single entity or enterprise. The fact that the environment is shared by most businesses and countries making it an urgent requirement by all countries to take it upon them and initiate a green supply chain management (Sarkis, 2014). A good number of organizations and countries have made deliberate efforts that are part of their corporate social responsibility to employ measures that facilitate the application of a green supply chain management. The results of such actions are excellent and have influenced the society in a right direction which should be taken up to change the society reducing the massive pollution responsible for the surging climate change.
In conclusion, I opine that it is about time that all businesses realize the instrumental role to what the supply chain management plays in the efficient running of the business of operations. The complexity is only cured through the institution of a robust supply chain management framework that is administered by competent supply chain professionals who will bring in knowledge, skill, and experience to push forward the agenda of quality supply chain organization. The supply chain is all about building relationships and partnering that ensures a proper utilization formulae for the resources to provide ultimate returns for investment. The need for a competent supply chain management has seen companies outsource the service to a relevant organization that specializes in the function to boost sales and minimize both the costs and risks associated with lack

of an efficient supply chain management.
