The scene where Sam and Isabel had breakfast before he left for war was impactful to me, as it foreshadowed Sam killing Louie with a symbolic Kris and resulted in him saying "I won't let you two be happy together again." The End.

However, Isabel responded with a comment such as "It's still different when you're here. How can I have sex with a medal?" In my view, this scene was problematic as it seemed to reduce women to mere sexual objects. Isabel's concern about Sam's absence focused solely on their ability to have sex, implying that women only deserve attention from men in the context of sexual pleasure. Furthermore, Isabel herself made this assertion despite

being a woman.

According to the film, women are shown as enjoying being degraded, leading to their devaluation. The gender roles assigned to men and women are apparent in the movie as well, with males being stereotypically seen as breadwinners with physically laborious jobs like military work, while females are confined to domestic work and maintenance. However, the wife's infidelity deviates from the typical gender norms, as men are usually associated with polygamy.

The movie reflects the notion of machismo, which asserts that a man's masculinity is proven by his number of partners. I strongly disliked the film because it discredits both the film industry and Filipino culture in its entirety. Such representations in media inevitably influence cultural attitudes by either perpetuating or challenging gender stereotypes and blurring the boundary between authenticity and typecasting.

Casa performed poorly in every aspect, and this deserves criticism.
