Professor Ramlan Abdul Aziz Chemical Engineering Essay Example

Among the short courses he organized and presented are Chemical Engineering for Non Chemical Engineers, Bioreactor Operation, Control and Troubleshooting, and Herbal. These courses have been attended by staff from over 275 companies. He started his pioneer work in the Chemical Engineering Pilot Plant (CEPP) in 1992 as Project Manager. He coordinated the initial process design, construction, and completion of the RM46 million complex in 1998. He continues to contribute as the founding and current Director of CEPP.
Under Professor Ramlan's leadership, the Chemical Engineering Pilot Plant (CEPP) has
received numerous accolades such as gold, silver, and bronze medals from ITEX (1999-2003), INATEX (1999), and the international exhibition of invention in Geneva (2003). Today, CEPP is recognized as the country's premier center for herbal, phytochemical, and biochemical processing. Throughout his career at UTM, Professor Ramlan has played a significant role in forging collaborations between industries, government, and academia. He has actively participated in various committees aimed at fostering this collaboration, including the Founding Council.
