From the article problems associated with homelessness can be easier to resolve other than to manage if the affected people consider reintroducing themselves from the problem. In Million Dollar Murray, the author works to dismiss the assumptions concerning homelessness. It was assumed that homelessness trailed a normal distribution while the majority of the people were only temporarily without a home (Gladwell, 2006). A minority group of people who are consistently homeless for one reason or another can cost the health care as well as social services systems far more than any other group.
According to the author, one of the individuals within this marginal group is Murray Barr. His alcoholism tendency has kept him steadily homeless, therefore, placing a higher unusual cost on Reno city services. The city was determined that it saves money by using solutions that influence th

Though law power solutions offer special treatment for individuals who do not merit special treatment, I agree with the author’s analysis that the hitches of homelessness can be willingly solved if strategies are considered to solve matters rather than managing them. Allowing this minority group of people to live malevolent ways, disprove assistance, as well a drain the city’s resources sends a bad message to those on the edge of homelessness (Burt et al., 2007).
As per Gladwell, the reason homelessness has endeavored in the society when power-law solutions have been put in place to reduce costs is because it is merely a political and morality issue. Politically, the society is preconditioned to manage homelessness, especially through charitable works
In the moral part, it feels good to know that you contribute to the society by giving to the local shelter and more so during the Thanksgiving period.
Murray Barr’s condition improved as a result of participating in the treatment program (Gladwell, 2006). Due to this, I believe the outcomes regarding power law are beneficial. Finally, I would inspire that tighter measures be added to restraint in the upheaval such as the behavior portrayed by homeless individuals from Denver. This can be done by perhaps introducing a mentoring system to aid the homeless (Jencks, 1997). For the unruly persons, they can be paired with the positive members in the treatment program so that they may see the benefits of enduring in the treatment program.
