Like other social institutions, religion is almost universal. It can be found in different forms in all societies, past and present. Origins of religion can be traced to the beginnings of the culture itself and form the basis of which the standard structure of the society stands. The basic function of religion involves understanding sacred issues that lie beyond our knowledge and understanding. Religion has a profound influence on our economic and political lives. The most prominent forms of religion include Christianity, Islam, and Buddhism.

anches, Christianity is the major form of religion practiced by a majority of the world's population. The massive number of followers has allowed it to have a huge influence on almost all aspects of life, particularly in shaping the western civilization.

I believe that the gospel begins by declaring the coming of the kingdom of God and calls on all sinners to repent. He encourages them to repent and return to God so that their sins may be forgiven. The idea of repentance and entering God’s kingdom can be seen in the parable of the prodigal son. What I value about the love of God is that he is caring and loving to forgive the sins of all sorts. I am certain that God will come again back to earth to take those who are righteous and leave the sinners to perish in eternal fire.
