In my career path, I intend to become a probation officer in one of the reputable correctional institutions. My career choice is based on the skills I posses and those ones I have acquired over time. The websites for respective departments of probation, parole and pardon services will boost the research for my career choice by looking up on the requirements and responsibilities of a probation officer as well as the availability of vacancies in the respective counties.

For my job search, I will utilize my particular skills and those required by the probation recruiting agencies in the search engines. The universal ones include heart disease, mouth and lung cancer, ulcers in the stomach due to increased acids, gum diseases due to long years of smoking and pregnant women bear the risk of damaging their babies if they engage in smoking. Smoking is addictive and the campaigns against the act often fail since individuals who resolve to smoke make it a habit and restraining from the habit is limited by nicotine, a naturally occurring substance found in tobacco and very addictive. Nicotine momentarily relaxes the brain and when the effect subsides, the craving for more cigarettes comes back. Although popular, e-cigs are no better, safer, and healthier alternative to smoking cigarettes. Still, they contain nicotine, but, only in vapor as opposed to smoke. Therefore, the health effects are still there for e-cig users. The effective mechanism to get smokers to quit smoking is by involving them in the process. It should not involve law enforcement or just policies. The smokers must be actively involved and the urge to quit must come from them.

Thus, this process will require empowerment of the smokers for them to make decisions that can positively impact their health. The federal and state government should be involved in funding the efforts and procedures aimed at ending the smoking process since by preventing the habit; many health hazards and complication would be avoided thus saving the state from incurring health expenditures for treatment of the addicts.
