DEFINING EUTHANASIA
Euthanasia, a Greek work meaning ‘Good Death’, refers to the fulfilment of intentionally ending a human life to relieve them of pain and suffering. The decision to apply euthanasia is mainly made by the person suffering in agony, but in some cases the decision is made by family members that can’t stand watching them in pain. In some countries, the decision whether to allow euthanasia is made by the Supreme Court, whether or not it is murder or not. Euthanasia is frequently used for terminally ill patients that has a really slim chance of beating a disease, or someone that has been unconscious in a coma for a long period of time, sometimes doctors

Active euthanasia is the act where a person, family member or a doctor give an overdose of painkillers to let the patient die, on the other hand, passive euthanasia is when death is brought about by an omission in a couple of ways, one way is withdrawing treatment, this Is by switching off a machine that is keeping a person alive, so that they die of their disease.
