When I was eight years I had a powerful desire to distinguish myself from my friends and siblings. One way I did this was by becoming actively involved in different hobbies. (Many times this was even just out of curiosity) At age ten I first discovered drawing and within two short years I had progressed enough to enter art contests. With my first contest I won a prize in the form of a book. This gave me a bit of inspiration and I became involved with dancing and poetry. But, the book itself created an interest for reading that I have to this very day.

ese skills by reading to the little ones in the family. Also, this interest in reading helped me develop an interest in the private lives of those of the books' authors. Part of the reason for my interest in this is because I enjoy watching how the authors reveal themselves through their characters.

This is quite interesting to examine. In a way, the works of these authors allow me to feel much older than I really am. That is, through reading I develop a more mature and deeper understanding of the world and life.. How could 1 have guided my life without the work of Garcia Marquez and Ruben Dario? They have provided me many life lessons and allowed me to develop stronger relationships with people. Clearly, that is a great thing for any individual.
