Due to financial needs identified, I will select a range of information to investigate the performance of Tesco plc during and after the financial crisis, and compare them to discover the impact of the financial crisis on the company and determine whether they overcame it. The investigation stage is the most important for. Firstly, the purpose of the report should be firstly identified, and making the outline of the project through justifying the related information in order to the aim, the objectives of the report and the final destination. Next step is to identify approaches and make a plan to carry out project and select resources; meanwhile, I should draw up a timescale according my time to complete the report orderly and successfully in the limited time.

In the investigation stage, to approach the project, primary research and secondary research are used to gather information in order to consider issues for aim and objectives. Primary research, also called field research, involves the collection of information which is not existed. Tesco retailers, which locate in UK, to ask the relevant information about the performance of the company during and after the financial crisis. For example, the employees’ attitudes were low within this period. Through this way, I can get high response, less wrong interpretation and higher respondent.

Through online surveys, I can get the annual reports statement and share performance of the Tesco plc in this period, which help me to complete my objectives. With questionnaire, I will design a series of questions to ask the public to discover the particular information needed. I can benefit from questionnaire, which is cheap and no mush effort. Moreover, it can be sure that the information gathered is up-to-date.

As known as desk research, secondary research involves processing data that has already been collected by another party. I will collect relevant information by books, refereed journals, trade newspaper and articles from online service and library. For the sake of secondary data, I will use the internet, trade newspaper or referred journals and the professional articles. I will use the internet to select the news about the company and the financial crisis, because it is easy to access, with a huge number of information and sometimes the most up-to-date source of statistics.

Duo to sufficient materials required I will use trade newspapers and refereed journals of England to collect excellent figures with current financial trends, an excellent source of the latest views and developments in the particular area of study, so I can easily and quickly to collect sufficient information required.

The articles are good resources wrote by expertise, so it provides basic knowledge and theory knowledge for me. I can use them as the reference

to help me to complete the report more objectively and successfully. Strategy for carrying out report To complete the report successfully, I will carry out the strategy. Then, the key factors in my project will be identified carefully again to find out more questions and areas which should be researched.

Due to financial needs identified, I will select a range of information by using primary and secondary resources to investigate the performance of Tesco plc during and after the financial crisis, and compare them to discover the impact of the financial crisis on the company and determine whether they overcame it.

Finishing the above assignment, I will evaluate changes made during project compared to original action plan. I maybe prepare great volumes of resources and information; however, parts of them are not adopted. For the sake of great powers of persuasion for the report, I should consider any variation and why these arose. Moreover, I will discuss criteria for the company performance and make a recommendation for the future of the Tesco plc.

In the end, I will focus on writing the report. Before handed in, the report will be checked up and touched up carefully for the improvement.
