There are many reasons for a person to migrate to another country, including economic [pertaining to the production, distribution, and use of income, wealth, and commodities], political, family re-unification, natural disaster, poverty or the wish to change one's surroundings voluntarily. Illegal immigration is the migration of foreign citizens into a country without formal permission.

Although the majority of illegal immigrant are from Muslim’s countries such as Indonesia, Bangladesh and Pakistan, but many social problems still exist. Illegal immigrants in Malaysia are usually from less developed countries, cultural lag [where some cultural elements change more quickly than others, thus disrupting a cultural system] and with third class mentality.

The norms that are always associates with illegal immigrant that they are pollutants, noisy, throwing waste as they please, and do not use public facilities properly. Our security is also threatened. Some of these illegal immigrants are criminals who are required by the authorities in their home country. They fled to Malaysia to escape the invasion of their home country

authorities. Unfortunately, they continue to commit crimes here.

Although illegal immigrant presences in Malaysia are against the law, the Malaysian government has not made enough effort to deport illegal migrants back to their countries. We need foreign labor in developing our countries. But their presences, especially illegal immigrants, also cause problems. The government should seriously address this problem so that our citizens not becoming a minority in their own country.
