By following Ruhi, the author edits some of the film, and emphasizes on where she thought was important, such as the part when the models are shown wearing white ropes that only showed their legs for a competition, which the film wants the audience to wonder that the models are nothing more than a body. Another example is when during the end of the Miss India contest, the movie only included one question period where an unknown contestant answered about her opinion on the sexuality of her son, she had a great answer which covered both side of the modern India and traditional culture.

We cannot know what footage was left on the cutting room floor so we cannot entirely presume the bias of the director, but we can still tell from the focus of the interview and scenes. We should not compare their life style with ours; they are still a different culture even though when they are having a westernization movement. Overall the movie successfully described the two girl’s culture and believes, and broadcasted the daily challenges as Hindu women to the world to understand. The film is truly a master piece, and the author successfully fulfilled her intention expressed in this award winning film.
