More to observe the tremendous power that resides within" (Fred Hatfield). Bodybuilding and power lifting is not just a sport, for some people it is also a way of life. es not focus on building a muscular body. His main goal is strength and power that helps him to lift an enormous weight. Power lifters are not training for chiseled look. However, always can be an exception.

both sports. Bodybuilders chose a diet that is meant to burn more fats while maintaining and gaining lean muscles. Bodybuilders try to decrease the intake of calories. The basis of this diet in bodybuilding are: lean meat, eggs, fish, low fat milk, cottage cheese, yogurt, cereals, vegetables and fruits. The diet requires a meal intake every couple of hours. A failure to fallow that diet will lead to muscle loose. Another not less important factor in a diet are nutritional supplements.

Unfortunately, to achieve high results bodybuilders use different sport drink that help them to maintain muscles or give some extra energy for the next push. For example a bodybuilder who won’t follow a diet or consume sport drink will not have a chance to compete with other athletes. Power lifters diet is quite similar: it requires a meal intake every couple of hours to maintain muscles with needed energy. However, the main difference in the diet is that power lifters don’t actually limit themselves with kind and quality of food. Power lifters increase their caloric intake.

Moreover, Power lifter consume a limited amount of sport drink in compare to power lifter. Because the main goal here is a pure strength and not body shape. Discipline and self – belief are the most essential keys to become a champion in any sport but especially in this kind of sports it is indispensable. It requires discipline to build muscles or lift heavier weights every day, it requires to train a lot of time, to follow a specific routine, to sleep certain number of hours, to maintain a strict diet and to avoid some other

activities and food that other people wouldn’t be willing to do it.

But discipline isn’t the only key, self-believe is also one of the main factors to become good in this sport. People who practice this kind of activity need to have not only a healthy body but a healthy mind, they need to deeply believe in themselves, believe they can get anything they want with their effort and learn not to break down even when they fail.

Although power lifters focus on lifting high weights while bodybuilders concentrate more on shaping body both sports do have similarities like diet, discipline and specific routine. Most people who are not familiar with these sports may not understand how similar they can be even though athletes look completely different on the stage. When considering making a bodybuilder or power lifter career a person has to consider whether to focus on shaped body or body performance.
