The historical focus of racial relations in America has been on the interaction between black and white individuals. However, this dynamic has significantly evolved due to changing living conditions in the United States. As a result, many governments are now considering implementing affirmative actions to provide support for those who have been most affected.
Affirmative action is a concept that encompasses various categories such as physical disabilities, gender, ethnicity, and race. The primary objective of affirmative action is to foster equality in society. Numerous courts in the United States have embraced this principle, including the Supreme Court which mandated its implementation in educational institutions for student admissions (Carol, 1996).
In order to be inclusive and fair, the university in Brazil reserves 20% of its admissions for physically disabled students, students from lower socioeconomic backgrounds, and native Brazilians.

The presence of cultural diversity in the United States should lead to the elimination of racism. This is demonstrated by Barack Obama, an African American, becoming the 44th president and assuming leadership in the traditionally white-dominated "White House" (Carol, 1996).
