A child’s early development is a very critical stage in the personal development and for the growth of a human being. For one to become a successful in the later stages of life, it should begin in the early childhood. Therefore, it means that there should be development and existence of early childhood care programs that teach the kids the good morals as well as other important aspects necessarily for the basic knowledge of a child. There are different early childhood care programs that vary depending on the sponsors, the type of children it caters for as well as the age limit for an individual child.

The children apply the curriculum of the basic education while the parent uses the curriculum of the adult education that gives the parents skills for being the teachers to their kids. The kind of assessment here is that the kids are assessed on the basic education curriculum while the adults are assessed on the methodologies taught to them. The assessments in this program are done by asking simple questions about the children or asking them to do simple arithmetic on their own. The children development theories apply to this particular model because it involves learning of the children and changes in children as they grow. These are programs that are aimed at taking care of special needs of the kids that range from developmental delays and lack of basic needs that matter most to the child normal development and growth. In conclusion, early childhood development programs are one of the most effective ways of early learning to children. Several early childhood programs are in place. Some of the programs include; faith based centers and laboratory schools. What differentiates the different program is the source of revenues for running. The other difference comes into place about whether it is profit or nonprofit organization. The programs are required to meet the requirements in the NAEYC professional ethics.
