RNA polymerase is a crucial enzyme in human cells that produces a template of the cell's DNA, essential for protein production. RNA, acting as the enzyme, uses genes from DNA to create RNA chains with specific genetic codes expressed on mRNA. However, if a toxin inhibits RNA polymerase during transcription, it hampers mRNA production. Once mRNA is present, it moves to the translation stage and is read by tRNA. Throughout this process, tRNA matches the appropriate amino acid to the specific mRNA codon. Amino acids are organized in groups of three corresponding to the mRNA codon and combine with ribosomes in cells to form polypeptides. Ultimately, these polypeptides join together to form proteins.

ll replication, structure, and function within cells. They also act as enzymes that initiate biochemical processes affecting immunity and electrolyte balance. Alpha-amanitin blocks the activity of RNA polymerase leading to hindered protein production and diminished functionality in liver cells due to blocked essential proteins necessary for proper functioning (Hudon-Miller 2012; Santi et al., 2012). The absence of vital proteins causes damage to important body filters like the liver and kidneys (Santi et al., 2012).The damage discussed here commonly occurs when amanita phalloides poisoning leads to acute liver failure (Santi et al., 2012).
