Childhood is a wonderful phase of life filled with innocence and amazement. It is a period that contains the most lovely and treasured moments in our lives. The house where I spent my early years is brimming with unforgettable, magnificent, and vivid memories that brought immense joy to my childhood. Sometimes, I long to experience those simpler times again and embrace a carefree existence once more. Nevertheless, time progresses forward, and I acknowledge that it is impossible to reverse it. Despite being somewhat melancholic, I accept that the past cannot be accessed.

Despite the impossibility of returning to that wondrous time, there exists a place I can rely on to transport me back to that nostalgic moment - my grandparent’s home. Nestled in the village, their old and gentle light blue house emanated a s

ense of tranquility, with its chipped exterior walls. Surrounded by lush greenery, the atmosphere exuded a refreshing scent of nature, providing a calmness whenever I ventured outside. Towards the back of the yard, my grandparents kept numerous chickens in a cage which I would gleefully chase after when my grandmother set them free.

Sometimes, I would crouch in front of the cage to observe the baby chickens, giving each of them a name and engaging in conversations with them. While this might have seemed silly to others, I found great joy in these interactions. The yard, as a child, felt immense, akin to a football field, and it granted me a sense of freedom similar to that of the birds in the sky. and had me occupied for extended periods as I flipped through its pages. On occasion, I would prank call my parents using this old phone, simply because I adored the satisfying sound produced by pressing its buttons. Furthermore, my grandparents would always place a notebook on the small table situated at that corner of the staircase. It became my designated spot to freely draw or write whatever came to mind, often gifting these creations to my doting grandparents. Lastly, I derived great pleasure from traversing up and down the stairs. When my grandmother would be seated on the sofa across from the stairs, engrossed in her sewing endeavor, I would frequently peek down at her and occasionally playfully interact.

The staircase was a cherished spot for me in the house. It provided a sense of security when I sat in the corner, and it also holds many precious memories. In the living room, my grandfather placed an exercise bike beside the sofa. This allowed us to exercise while watching television. Looking back, I felt embarrassed because I was too short to ride the bike. However, my father always came to my aid, lifting me onto the bike. Even though my legs couldn't reach the pedals, I would still envision myself as a cyclist, gripping the handlebars and making silly facial expressions.

My family would always laugh at the expressions I made while riding my bike, bringing me immense delight and joy. However, when my grandparents moved to a different village many years later, I couldn't fathom leaving the place that held so many cherished memories from my youth. Even now, whenever I happen to pass by their

house, a wave of nostalgia washes over me and it becomes undeniable how much I long for those days gone by. If only there was a time machine that could transport me back to relive those precious moments once more.
