Cycle of Child Abuse Even though child abuse is a common crime throughout the world, there is no common solution to terminating this nightmare of reality. In most cases, child abuse begins when drugs that have taken over the life of a child's parent. Because of child abuse, children experience different types and levels of neglect. Traumatized from their childhood, the victims who were born innocent usually continue the cycle of abuse. Coping and ending this cycle is difficult as this wrongdoing scars and damages the most fragile time of a person's life. In the documentary, A Broken Child:

In one of the case studies, Patricia who was a pregnant drug addict prostitute had six children taken away from her from Child Protective Services (CAPS). She was aware of her bad lifestyle, but she seemed not to care. Patricia smoked pot when she was reminded of her children, and she states she did drugs to "ignore" he thoughts that she had about her children.

Another case study was about Jonathan, an eight-year-old boy, whose biological mother was an alcoholic. Not only was Jonathans mother drunk when she gave birth to him, but he continued to experience child abuse as a one-month-old infant. mother's arms, Kevin witnessed his mother death. As a result, Kevin lives with nightmares of a man shooting him.

There s a misunderstanding that people some believe they can get away with mistreating their babies. Even with an undeveloped young mind, child abuse can still leave an imprint on an adolescent's life. As states by Michael Minored, "early trauma can shape an entire life. " As the outcome of child abuse, affected children tend to grow into the danger of society. Michael Minored states that, "By the time children are four years old, psychologist can tell which of theme are likely to drop out of school or become delinquents. " Gregory, Patrician's fifteen-year-old son, was a Juvenile delinquent.

Because he was separated from his drug addict mother, he Jumped around foster homes, which he claims had abused him as well. When Gregory ran away and began living on the streets, he initiated in theft and mobbing to make a living. Patrician's child's reaction is common but obviously has no Justification. Jonathan is another example of danger towards the society. Unpredictable, violent, and suicidal are the words that were used to describe Jonathan. It is unfair and misleading to title Jonathan with such words for the reason that he did not choose to live this way.

Many children are forced to live a nightmare and live with trauma. Is it Justified that these children be categorized as delinquent when they were not given the choice? Child abuse is the reason why they are damaged physically and emotionally. To overcome the cycle of child abuse it takes time and patience. Healing and coping with the effect of

child abuse could take numerous solutions. Some solutions may not even work because the severity and amount of emotional damage. In Patrician's case, she took multiple steps in overcoming the cycle of child abuse.

Not only did Patricia stop her bad habits with drugs, but she also moved into a halfway home. Taking the effort to terminate the foundation that caused the child abuse displays one's mentality and determination to put an end. Patricia also sought out to prevent the continuation of her mistakes by searching for her son she knew she hurt. Patricia alleged that she did not want her son, "to make the same mistakes," she did. In Patricia and Surgery's healing process, they begin to form trust and compassion for one another. Jonathans case is somewhat similar to Patricia and Gregory case, n that he is also learning compassion.

Jonathans adoptive parent's took a sacrifice to reveal true compassion to Jonathan. Although Jonathan often rebels and has uncontrollable outbreaks, his parent's believe that he is curable. In my opinion, I believe there is no best solution to resolving child abuse. People and their experiences are different, therefore, different approaches to overcoming this problem is the solution. Whether it be therapy, isolation, or even acceptance; it does not matter how you get there, as long as you solved the problem. Loaded
