Betta fish normally live for 2-3 year and sometime rarely 4-5 years in some cases. “Their natural diet consists of small insects and insect larvae. ”6. They are surface eaters and that means that they will only eat food that is at the top of the surface of the water but, they will not eat what is at the bottom of the fish tank. Dried food should be extra with frozen or live foods. They grow to 6-8 cm. and the name “betta fish “comes from Thai “ikan bettah meaning biting fish”7 and the are known for their temperate nature.
