He stood puzzled and motionless on the platform, gazing down at a scene of chaos that showed how much the children had changed since their arrival on the island. Eventually, he stepped down and walked towards the bush where the conch was hidden.

A sense of confusion and fear flooded him as he noticed the emptiness in the once symbolically powerful and sociable place. Despite his repeated chants affirming his leadership position, the boys disregarded him. However, he persisted, avoiding any interaction with Jack who had taken possession of the conch.

After shouting, he fell to the ground and buried his head in the sand. He considered arguing with Jack, but the chaos among the boys had taken over and the conch had

lost its power. He got up from the sand and gathered on a rock, noticing a creeper wrapped around his foot which seemed to be coming from the direction of the boys. He paused briefly before removing his foot from the snake-like vine.

Upon another observation, Piggy was noticed by the observer who stood apart from the rest and appeared to be fastening his footwear. Following that, he elevated his hosiery and settled into a seated, crossed position on the shore while fixing his attention on the ocean.
