Technology is the subject of discussion.
There is an argument that suggests all inventions are born out of necessity, suggesting that our current privileges are a result of this. In just fifty years, we have accomplished remarkable achievements that were once unimaginable. With the help of technology, we can now integrate computers into living cells and create a completely new world. The progress we have made includes electric cars, computers, and autonomous factories. However, if we do not regulate technology properly, it will quickly overwhelm us and make us irrelevant. On the other hand, if we successfully manage technology, it will greatly improve our quality of life.
A decade ago, technology brought about a revolution in our capabilities, enabling us to achieve what was once deemed impossible. With a simple click, we can now create captivating images that surpass reality and connect
...with people across the globe. The convenience of accessing information from encyclopedias online has eliminated the need for physical pages, and even shopping can be done digitally. However, this newfound technological freedom also comes with the responsibility of using it for the betterment of humanity. Television, which has been the dominant medium since the 1950s, has been utilized by politicians and advertisers to shape public opinion due to its mesmerizing nature. Newspapers and radio have followed a similar trajectory but have lagged behind due to advancements in technology. While television is expected to remain relevant in the next two decades, political figures and corporations are anticipated to harness the internet more effectively for their objectives.
In the information age, there is a risk associated with replacing workers with technology. Although this may initially save costs, in
the long run it can be self-destructive because of the limited workforce available.
The economy's growth hinges on purchasing power. I hold a positive perspective on the transition from unskilled labor to highly skilled labor. Political action is vital in ensuring that this societal shift benefits everyone, not solely politicians and business owners. Back in 1970, possessing a high school diploma meant attaining a middle-income lifestyle, complete with a nice car and a house situated in the suburbs. In today's world, it only allows for ownership of an old car and residing in a shabby apartment within an inexpensive building. Technology is likely the most crucial factor contributing to wage declines among various factors such as international competition, deregulation, union decline, and defense cuts. It has favored educated and skilled individuals while leaving those who haven't adapted behind. The mastery of digital media through CD-ROMs and the Internet empowers individuals with boundless information access. They can obtain knowledge about diseases or comprehend different political parties' stances on issues. Recognizing the significant role computers will assume in the future necessitates staying well-informed about this field for our preparedness. As technology holds immense purchasing power potential, more businesses are incorporating it to boost their product or service sales.
Technology possesses great power and is an unstoppable force that can shape our world. Embracing it fully while abandoning traditional methods can consume us. From my perspective, the advancement of technology is a beneficial progression for society. However, it should be accompanied by an enhancement in education to empower us with the knowledge and ability to understand and manage technology. We should maintain control over technology instead of letting it dominate
us.
