The tragedy was due to the unjust decision of higher officials. Who should be held accountable for this violent incident - the hostage taker or those behind him? From the perspective of the hostage taker, he was described as kind and sincere by his family, friends, neighbors, and even elected chairman of his barangay. ...wrong decision of holding people hostage. During the hostage drama, there were many mistakes made by the surrounding policemen which I noticed.During the hostage crisis, a police officer was shot by the hostage taker while attempting to intervene. There was no guarantee that no hostages would be harmed, which infuriated the perpetrator. The police did not use a periscope or similar device to observe the interior of the bus without being seen. Furthermore, a police officer attempted to break a window with a heavy hammer but was unsuccessful and ended up throwing it inside the bus instead. In addition, after breaking the glass on the bus door, the police pulled it instead of using the button inside to open it. As for media coverage:
