Companies often face a significant problem with local traffic, especially when their employees contribute to and worsen the issue of traffic congestion.

The impact of workforce transport on traffic is significant. To combat and decrease traffic, it is crucial to monitor how employees contribute to public transport. Daily transportation patterns of employees should also be examined. However, besides addressing the issues related to public transport, we must also consider the advantages that arise from employees utilizing public transportation. The purpose of this report is to examine employee habits regarding public transport, assess the potential benefits that improvements may have on the transportation system, and analyze the feasibility of implementing telecommuting. This analysis will involve studying the work nature of my colleagues.

As it can be seen from the above figure 1, the employees’ everyday carpooling is 23%, which is a total of 10, 138 employees. This is a significant number of employees and it implies a great significance. This number is large enough to reduce the impact of the employees on traffic. On certain days, employees carpooling is 11% which is a total of 4, 361 employees. However, in spite random carpooling being the least choice of the employees, 2% of the employees is a very great significant number of employees which represents 983 employees.

of public transportation. Figure 2 displays the frequency of public transportation use on different days of the week. The results show that 54% of employees (23,556 individuals) use public transport every day. Additionally, there are percentages for those who use it on certain days (5%), randomly (13%), or never use it (28%).

The highest percentage of daily use of transport is 28%, which represents employees who never use transport and totals 12,053 employees. Random use of transport follows at 13% and the use of transportation on certain days at 5%.

In Figure 3, it can be observed that 46% of the participants displayed no interest in taking public transport. The option with the second highest percentage was lowering fares, accounting for 31% and totaling 5,634 employees. Additionally, there was an increase in perceptions of safety among 28% of employees, amounting to a total of 4,932 individuals.

The 18% of participants represented those who had fewer transfers. The second-to-last category was for those who made more stops. The last category, representing 5% of employees, focused on potential improvements in cleanliness. However, the results indicate that most employees lacked motivation to use public transportation. The smallest group preferred improved cleanliness as the sole motivation for using public transportation. Meanwhile, the largest group indicated that no aspect mentioned could encourage them to frequently use public transport.

The figure above analyzes the impact of public transport improvement on the possibility of telecommuting as a choice for the company's employees. According to the findings shown in the figure, 18,601 employees (equivalent to 42% of participants) have never considered telecommuting

for their work, which is the highest number. Out of all participants, 30% have considered telecommuting while another 20% belong to a group who did consider it. Lastly, only 8% of participants are part of the smallest portion. These results indicate that just a small proportion of employees are encouraged to telecommute daily for their commute to and from work.

The research reveals that telecommuting is of interest to only 3,460 employees. Nevertheless, this figure has the capacity to greatly reduce traffic congestion.

Solution 1: Encouraging Employee Carpooling

According to the findings, the most efficient approach to addressing the traffic issue is by encouraging carpooling among employees. By sharing a vehicle, multiple employees can contribute to reducing the number of cars on the road.

Carpooling and promoting telecommuting are both effective ways to reduce traffic congestion caused by employees. Carpooling encourages employees to share their journey, while telecommuting enables most employees to work remotely and minimize their impact on traffic. Additionally, telecommuting reduces the number of employees commuting to and from work, which helps alleviate traffic congestion.

The reduction of traffic congestion and time wasted in traffic jams is evident due to the positive impact of telecommuting on transportation. The benefits of telecommuting are further supported by the regular choice of many employees to work remotely. If 3,000 employees were to adopt telecommuting, it would have a significant impact on reducing traffic. Ultimately, employees play a crucial role in shaping local traffic patterns within a country, as shown by the analyzed data and figures presented in the report. Based on these findings, the company can implement two proposed solutions to address the effects on traffic.

The text proposes two approaches to

ease traffic congestion. One method is to promote carpooling among employees, which reduces the number of vehicles on the road and helps relieve traffic jams. The other solution involves advocating for telecommuting, enabling employees to work from various locations remotely.
