One week before Christmas, my mum told me to retrieve the decorations from the attic, which I found to be unfair. As I entered the ice-cold attic, cobwebs clung to my face. However, amidst the cobwebs, I discovered a dusty, unfamiliar wooden chest tucked in the corner. With a wipe of dust, I opened it, revealing my old jewelry box that my late Nan had gifted me before her passing. The music of Swan Lake still played when I lifted its lid, reminding me of the most magnificent present I had ever received.

Recalling my Nan's funeral, which occurred when I was around six or seven years old, my parents deemed me too young to attend. Consequently, my eldest sister Hannah took on the responsibility of looking after me. Buried beneath the jewelry box, I stumbled upon a get-well card I had

given to my sister Emily after she was hit by a car. The image of my dad carrying her flashed in my mind as I sat playing the piano and glanced out the window.

With blood all over her, she sat down in the kitchen while mum called an ambulance and Emily sobbed inconsolably. Her chin required seven stitches and she had two false teeth.

Weeks were spent at the hospital where she underwent a procedure to address excessive blood loss. The fear was so overwhelming that I remained silent for approximately two days (which is unusual for me!) as thoughts of people being hit by cars and not surviving haunted my mind. The worry of never seeing her again consumed me.

Thankfully, her recovery was successful.

Upon further inspection of the chest, I rediscovered Scruffy, my old

white monkey teddy bear who has been with me since birth, accompanying us on family outings.

I have a strong memory of a holiday where we went for a walk towards a restaurant. However, I suddenly realized that I had forgotten someone important, so I convinced my mother to go back and get him. I was worried about him feeling lonely and hungry. It's hard to believe that she left him here, as if I'm too old for him. But the truth is, I'm only 13 years old! On the same occasion, I also found some movie tickets for 'Crossroads'. It was a trip to the cinema with my lifelong best friend Olivia. We have known each other since the day she was born. Olivia's dad took us to watch 'Crossroads', which stars Britney Spears. Interestingly, we were the only ones in the theater, so we decided to stand up, dance, and cheer along with the movie. After the film ended, while Olivia's dad watched another movie, we spent around an hour at the arcade playing numerous games and having a great time. Eventually ,we made our way to McDonald's (my all-time favorite fast-food restaurant). Both of us ordered happy meals so we could get the toys that come with them.I often play my old Kacy Cd as it brings back memories of the summer when I stayed at my best friend Holly Watson's house for almost the entire season.During that time ,we went together to Star fair many times and had so much fun.In our vacation ,we spent lots of time in rec area sunbathing and meeting up with friendsThis CD retains cherished memories of

Holly and me spending countless hours choreographing dances to this song and others. Additionally, I stumbled upon a ticket from our trip to Disneyland Paris for my sister's fifteenth birthday. We booked an affordable hotel where we stayed for the weekend. Instead of dining at the hotel's restaurant, we clandestinely delighted in a McDonald's meal within our room. Meanwhile, my mom and aunt consumed one-too-many drinks, resulting in them accidentally driving the car into a hedge while attempting to make room for buses in the parking lot. Unbeknownst to them, they left the headlights on which caused the battery to die by morning. Fortunately, another English family heading to Disneyland kindly offered us a ride as their car had ample space for all of us. The best part was that they had a daughter around my age so we ended up enjoying an incredible day together. Among all the attractions, Indiana Jones proved both thrilling and terrifying as it included a backwards segment.

Suddenly, my mom called for me to bring down the decorations. I quickly put them back in the chest and brought them downstairs. I eagerly stored them under my bed so I could admire them anytime.
