Arguably people still buy their way into power, note the American elections, it’s more of a chauvinist competition. We must remember to take these Ideals with a pinch of salt however. Journalism bias is an on-going issue that many bear to ignore: a reader may feel educated but may in fact be learning lies. We as humans must remain rational, and stay two steps ahead of the curve to ensure that we don’t fall prey to this bias. Information transgresses, proxies emerge, information distorts.

Chinese whispers and misinterpretation, personal preferences and ideologies – simply telling people not what they need to hear, but what you want them to hear. It’s a distortion of fact, it’s fraudulent information, but it’s New Media. It’s real, and that’s what journalism is. Take tabloid pictures, Gossip Magazines, billboards of Models – the perfect human being. News of affairs, News of lies, News of cheating and Stealing – it’s addictive, it’s insanity, but it’s not right – most of it is conjecture, but it’s real, and we must see past it.

We see that my interpretation was wrong, because I lacked information.

Media has been around for a long time, but New Media has amplified the quantity of media to a large extent. We have to ensure that this media is factual, to ensure we don’t learn utter garbage. Facebook has over 800million Users and Twitter has over 100 Million: Information isn’t scarce; we have too much.
