I was disappointed in the outcomes of their visit to Van Hooted as their dream of him answering their questions was let down. This made me angry with Van Hooted for 1 OFF feel that I have experience with this disrespect from adults and they usually treat teenagers like they are beneath them, which I dislike. I'm not saying take pity on them for having a terminal illness but as Hazel and Gus traveled all that way with terminal illness Van Hooted could have been more understanding.

The ending reminds you how unfair life is but

the story to get there is beautiful, the story of two teens falling in love. The passion and ambition shown by Augustus makes me Jealous. I always found that teenage love was stupid and never lasts but this is different, "as he read, I fell in love the way you fall asleep: slowly, then all at once". Terminal cancer affects many adolescents, this meaner people our age are dying and even though medicine continues to develop and improve there are still teens with a chance of cutting their life short due to deadly illnesses.

I loved this novel as in definitely one of my favorites I am inspired to read all of John Green's books. I have learnt all about the trials and tribulations that come with dying and also living. I was inspired by Hazel's idea on life, there's not much point in making a mark on the world but if you remain passive life still happens to you. The book challenges you to think about what you want out of your life and to demand control of your life as Hazel and Augustus do. Mimi don't get to choose if you get hurt in this world but you have some say in who hurts you. I like my choices and I hope she likes hers too. "
