Wikileaks was established with the aim of providing crucial news and information to the general public. Its objective is to exhibit evidence of truth for the benefit of readers and historians. In May 2010, a law was enacted by the United States' President, Barack Obama, to encourage a free press globally. This law coerces the US Department of State to intensify its assessment of limitations and coercion against media organizations. However, when these rights result in the exposure of contentious truths about those in power, it illustrates a different perspective.
The US government may censor information that goes against their goals, due to its potential implications for re-election or employment. The Collateral Murder video exposed American military personnel shooting civilians in Baghdad outside of regulated procedures, leading to embarrassment and investigations by the govern
...ment into those responsible for the leak. Tom Flanagan made an appearance on national television advocating for Julian Assange's assassination, with Bob Beckel supporting his claim that Assange is a traitor who deserves to be shot illegally because he violated numerous US laws. Bradley Manning was arrested, charged and subjected to awful detention conditions after giving WikiLeaks the "collateral murder" video as a US army soldier.Assange's father claims that the government has fabricated sexual offense charges against his son in order to keep him out of the public eye. He contends that even murderers are entitled to bail, and since Assange has not been charged with any crime or is under any legal proceedings, he should also be granted bail. Although previous appeals had failed, the Supreme Court ultimately ruled in favor of Assange's appeal for extradition. Consequently, he has been o
conditional bail for more than a year without facing any criminal allegations.
Accompanying a picture of an apocalyptic world is a statement regarding leaked emails between The Bank of America and their lawyers Hunter and Williams. These emails reveal that the companies are willing to engage in illegal activity in order to bring down Wikileaks.
