What is Random Access Memory?
Random Access Memory (RAM) is a type of computer memory that allows data to be accessed in any order and can be read and changed in any order. It is the most common form of computer memory used in modern computing devices such as computers, tablets, and smartphones. There are several types of RAM with different speed ratings based on their clock frequency or bandwidth (the amount of data they can process each second). Common types include DDR3 and DDR4 which have higher clock frequencies than previous versions like DDR2 or SDRAM (Synchronous Dynamic Random Access Memory).
