What is King Louis Xiv?

Louis XIV’s court at Versailles was known for its extravagance and grandeur it served as a symbol of absolutism which highlighted how much power he had over France’s political system. His court created a social hierarchy that separated individuals into different classes based on their wealth or relation to him personally this caused some resentment among those who felt they were unable to reach higher social statuses due to his rules on class distinction. In addition to his political accomplishments, Louis XIV was also known for various building projects throughout France such as The Palace of Versailles, which served as a showcase for French artistry during his reign that included painting, sculpture and architecture these are still admired today by visitors across the globe who come to see this royal estate every year. Overall, King Louis XIV left behind a legacy that has influenced many aspects of life in modern-day France including politics, economics, culture and artistry – all things we are still learning from today.
