A simple definition of the word winner is somebody that is successful. In our society we have constructed an unwritten classification of who we consider successful, and since the words success and winner have the same meaning, we therefore also have an unwritten classification of who we consider to be winners. This is something that most people know, but have those people actually taken the time to look deeply into others and see how winners are born, better yet, have they considered the idea that not all winners are born, some people are just born winners.
I would assume that the first classification of people that would come to mind in most people is the wealthy. Our minds are set up to believe that in order to succeed in life, a person would need to be wealthy. The children
...who are born from a wealthy family have an advantage on those who come from a less wealthy family because, as they mature into adults, they don’t have to spend time thinking of a plan to build their finances up.
In most cases, the wealthy parents of their maturing children will set aside money for them to receive at the proper age. Because of this fact, the wealthy are considered to be born winners. Although most people would assume that to be born a winner, that person’s family would have to be wealthy, but that isn’t always true.In most cases, this is true, Burris 2 but there are some situations where that isn’t the case.
For example, children who were born into a well known family could be considered born a winner also. If one of the child’s family members i
well known for some sort of outstanding achievement that they have accomplished over the years, for instance, superior athleticism, dedicated community involvement, incredible heroics, astonishing academics, or something of this nature, then that particular could essentially be considered born a winner also.
The eason being is that as these children mature in age, people who know their family will sometimes knowingly, and other times unknowingly treat these children different than others. One example of this might be getting picked for a main part in a school play over others who are more qualified because of the reputation of the person’s family. Another may be getting a starting position on a sports team for the same reason. Although this is unfair, it does happen, and in most people’s eyes these particular children were considered born winners.
An uncommonly thought of case in point of being born a winner is coming from a political family. I would assume that most people aren’t personally close to someone that comes from a political family, so they may not be able to relate to this situation, but it doesn’t take someone to have a close personal relationship to know that people in politics have a lot of power and control. People who have control have an advantage on others because they can basically do what they want.In politics, if one person can’t get something done, then that person more than likely knows another person who can. Because of the fact that political families have control, they can make sure that their children get the best opportunities that are available to them.
These children are usually Burris 3 well educated and as throughout their
childhood on into their adult lives, they have opportunities to see first hand how governments are organized and ran. They also will more than likely get involved in politics when they become adults as well, so they too will have power and control. Because of all of this, these children are considered born winners also. These examples all go to show that in the seemingly unfair, fast paced, twisted world that we live in today, things have escalated over the course of time leading us to put people in classifications from the moment our lungs inhale the first breath of oxygen. We can’t escape the fact that whether fair of unfair, some people are just born winners!
