In regards to my proposed procedure, it is similar to the instructions used in the labial annual with the utilization of a magnet for the separation of iron fillings and the use of a filter for sand separation following evaporation. However, filtering out the sand could potentially lead to a disadvantage as it may also filter out the undissolved benzene acid. Additionally, I would not have considered using a bag during the iron magnet filtration.

A higher sand recovery percentage than the original sand percentage could be explained by the presence of contaminants within the sand such as water or benzene acid.

Possible sources of error in this experiment include not covering the top to prevent splatters during heating, premature removal of the mixture from ice before adequate crystallization

Simply filtering out the sand may result in filtering out any undissolved benzene acid substance. Using a bag in magnet filtering was not initially considered. These small differences could have greatly altered results and manipulated the entire data table.
