The information age is a period in our history that characterizes the transition from the old tradition industry through industrialization to an economy based information technology era through the use of computers. Our society has really modified to an information technology society. In the world today, the use of computers has taken control of every aspect of our daily lives. This is truly an information technology revolution. These technological deviations have brought extreme changes bringing new forms of Entertainment, research, commerce and communication in general. The driving force of management information system was entirely laid on the development of internet which creates a completely new society (Fuchs, C. 2016).
There are many ethical issues in the Mason’s acronym of PAPA but the most varied are - privacy, Accuracy, property, and accessibility.

- Property: Means ownership of information. Considerations of justness and fairness in its exchange, especially in the airways, which information is transmitted.
- Accessibility: These are the rights and privileges of a person or organization information can be obtained and how it can be safeguarded.
Downloading and sharing any copyrighted movies, music and other files from the internet sites is illegal. This downloading activity increases the risks and maliciously exposes computing systems to vicious computer malware and this why the act is highly prohibited.

prosecuted in the US for illegally downloading and sharing files, faces a $220,000 fine after a federal court ruling on Tuesday. Federal appealed to the court to reverse its decision in reducing Thomas-Rasset’s damages of $ 54,000 from $1.5m. Finally settled in damage, fine of $220,000 and thus forbids Thomas-Rasset from making any sound recording available for distribution. Thomas-Rasset was accused by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) of downloading and distributing more than 1,700 music files on a file sharing site KaZaA and took a legal action 24 works for efficiency. They had initially set an offer of $4,500 to settle the case out of court, but Thomas-Rasset rejected the offer.
The RIAA has sued more than 18,000 people for illegally sharing music in the mid-2000. Most of the cases were settled out of court while others were fairly dismissed, but for Thomas-Rasset case was an exception to this (Khosrow-Pour, at al, 2015).The court papers showed that Thomas-Rasset had testified she had not heard of KaZaA prior to her case after being found guilty. Her lawyer Kiwi Camara was there filing the case to the US Supreme Court.
