By developing myself in a Masters of Arts in Non Profit and Corporate Communications program, I will pave my way to one of my inborn passion of becoming a certified communications consultant. Ever since I was child, I have always dreamt of the day I will use my skills to change the world. My dreams are tailored towards working with non-profit communications consulting businesses. Currently, I am working as a volunteer for a non-profit digital communications consulting where I am helping the organization embrace digital technologies by equipping itself with digitally reach donors, potentials volunteers as well as other parties in need. I plan to embrace my objective by extending my knowledge in Johns Hopkins University through comprehending the purpose of digital communication as a mechanism through which people monitors the work of their nominated representatives. My time at the University enlightened me on the fact that the University understands the fundamentals of digital communications and aims at pushing the students to explore it confines. Through this, am certain that my dream of becoming a leader in a non-profit digital communication organization will be achieved and I will one day become an extraordinary communications consultant.

I am an ideal candidate for Masters of Arts: Non Profit and Corporate Communications due to my in born passion of becoming an extraordinary communication consultant. My passion combined with my extensive research on communication plans as well as work experience have equipped me with the relevant skills to excel in the field. For instance, I successfully created a communication plan that communicated business restructuring messages. More specifically, I enrolled in a branding and advertising class where I was in charge of creating a style guide for a non-profit organization. This project enlightened me on the importance of brand constancy as well as the manner in which one can positively gain the attention of the public through the image of the company. My projects have greatly helped me in defining my career: advocacy consulting and website management. I believe that my expertise could

supplement the cutting-edge of the fields of both design and journalism at the University.

Johns Hopkins University is the ideal institute to support my educational pursuits since the program in the institution focus on optimization which fit together with my research interest. I believe I would be a valuable asset to the institution in solving design and communication plan problems specifically with my research focus in creating a style guide. In particular, the techniques used by the professors as well as their real world experience and accomplishes are foundational to my current work in that they effectively instill strong communication skills and knowledge in digital communication. I am eager to continue with my studies at the university, as I believe I have received unique training from various organizations including the local government, Gannett Media Company and BlackBook Magazine, New York where I received firsthand experience from the duties I performed. For instance, at the Gannett Media Company, I acted as the VA Conference Communication Coordinator where I provided support to the media department through utilization of editing, communication and design skills. I have also been honored with the Dean’s List in the years 29008-2009 and 2011-2012 while at the same time gaining the title of Miss Scripps Howard School of Journalism, School Representative in the year 2011-2012. More specifically, my previous collaboration with the local government as the communication specialist where I was responsible for assisting the Public Information Officer with various tasks such as the Town cable channel, social media, website and traditional communications have versed me in various exploration practices.
