Despite the divorce of our parents, my two brothers and I managed to stay close to both of them. The fact that we lived only two miles apart made it convenient for us to frequently visit their homes every week.

As children of divorced parents, my siblings and I would alternate between visiting our mother and being picked up by our father every week. When our father remarried, we welcomed three step-sisters into our lives through our new stepmother. Meanwhile, our mother remained unmarried and considered us her only children. Growing up in both households provided me with a unique perspective on life within a large family.

She treated me and my two brothers equally alongside her own children.

At one point, I went through a period of confusion and feeling abandoned by my mother when my father married again. My stepmother and I frequently vied for our father's focus, which made it challenging for me to adjust to the new family situation. Moreover, my step sisters received more attention than me, exacerbating the situation. Nevertheless, the local neighborhood and community deeply influenced this phase of my life. Witnessing joyful children playing with their parents in the neighborhood only heightened my sense of solitude.

In my childhood, I harbored a strong aversion to my surroundings due to feelings of solitude and neglect. Nevertheless, at the age of ten, I had a realization that acknowledging my parents' separation was essential. This moment of enlightenment allowed me to value my existence and the environment around me. Additionally, I resolved to stop vying for attention with my step sisters.
