they not only affect people at an individual level but they also influence the whole country as a whole. Obesity is a physical condition where there is massive fat accumulation in the body thus making the individual gain too much weight. Obesity in America has risen in the recent years because people have been consuming food that contains too many calories. People are aware of what has been causing the obesity but they cannot avoid it because it is cheaper and more effective in the nature of their lives.

The American economy has forced people to go for many jobs in order to maintain their lives. In the process of doing so, they minimize time wastage thus they mainly consume fast foods which are easy to get and eat but these foods contain a lot of calories. Taking on many jobs means that people take both day and night shifts in their different workplaces. This is because again most of the places in America are under a twenty-four-hour working economy.

When people spend too much time working the only thing they can do is take a rest and when it comes to that people rest too much. This creates a continuous cycle in people’s schedules that do not involve physical exercise or anytime for work outs. America has been termed as the nation that works between the remote and the kitchen and this is true both technically and literally. People become lazy and there is not burning fat in the body and the best it can do is conserve the extra fat.

America is highly developed in terms of infrastructure and this has also contributed to obesity because

many people do not use bicycles or jog no more. While going to work people mainly use trains or vehicles regardless of how short the distance is. Obesity continues to rise in the country despite being credited as the second most disastrous risk factor to human health after smoking. Obesity has led to the loss of many lives in America and yet medical experts continue to say that if it is stopped it could prevent many chronic diseases. Smoking is the largest concern in the health care sector for causing many deaths and giving room for other infection to occupy the body. It is known to be the cause of the death of nearly half a million lives in the United States each year.

It becomes a bigger problem on realizing that it even causes the death of nonsmokers who are referred to as second-hand smokers. Smoking is dangerous and people are aware of the effects of smoking yet they continue to smoke even after knowing all the statistics of the lives it has taken. The health of many people has deteriorated because of smoking and it continues to make them worse with the consideration that people spend a lot of money to purchase cigarettes which end up killing them. Health insurance is very common in the United States but even with the popularity there are over thirty million people who do not have access to health insurance.

Many people are afraid that it will greatly affect their budget and they will not be able to fulfill more basic requirements. For this reason, people delay reporting to a hospital until their illnesses get so extreme thus many

lives are lost. Health insurance is beneficial and it has helped save many lives but again those who lack access to it end up suffering. Due to lack of insurance, some people cannot and do not get regular health checkups and diagnosis and they, therefore, end up suffering from diseases that could have been easily prevented if discovered early enough.

Conclusion

Health care is very important in a country because it guarantees that the most important resource in a country is reserved. America is known as the supreme superpower and it is time it implements its findings from experiments in the health sector. It is capable of making reforms to better its health standards by making health care easier and more adaptive for its citizens because the nation has enough resources to see that this comes to pass.
