Glam-Overdose Fashion is my Passion. Everyone wants to be understood; at the same time, we all should be diverse. What is fashion? Is it the way you walk? The way you style your hair? Your attitude? One of the most common things that come to mind when I think of fashion is clothing. I believe that the media has somehow ingrained this idea in my mind! For this research paper, I decided to look up the definition of fashion in the dictionary.
According to Chanel (2013), fashion is not limited to dresses, but encompasses a broader aspect of life including dress, manners, and living. It exists in the sky and in the streets, influenced by ideas and our way of life. This concept of fashion extends beyond clothing to various human activities and ways of thinking such as architecture and interior design.
Fashion trends cover various forms such as clot
...hing, dance, music, language, and ideas. According to Bacon (2013), fashion is the integration of art into everyday life and social interactions. The allure of fashion stems from its potential for diverse interpretations by individuals, which is why I have a particular affection for it. In my personal experience, I have witnessed numerous Americans investing considerable resources in fashion.
Despite this, fashion plays an increasingly important role in enabling self-expression and boosting confidence through our appearance. Personally, I firmly believe that fashion is a fundamental element of our identity, encompassing various forms, sizes, and colors. So if you prefer the laid-back combination of t-shirts and jeans, wholeheartedly embrace it. There is no requirement to constantly dress as if you are attending a fashion show since that does not align
with the true essence of fashion.
The apparel and accessories donned by both men and women serve as a means for them to establish connections with individuals who share comparable lifestyles, occupations, faiths, or mindsets. Consequently, 'fashion' has become intricately linked with a nation's advancement. Chanel (2013) aptly emphasized that "Fashion invariably mirrors the era one inhabits. It remains intertwined with its environment. Yet, the primary hurdle lies in rejuvenating women and imbuing them with a youthful appearance. This transformation impacts their perspective and enhances their contentment."
