Gender equality is a paramount human right, while the world has achieved tremendous progress in matters to deal with gender equality statistics have shown that the effect of the gender equality campaigns tends to affect men. Gender equality has being viewed as a women's issue. It has even been rejected by a sect of men for it is seen as a way of empowering the women at the expense of the society man. The contrasting views are held by different groups of men in the society. Gender equality should be special and exclusive to both the parties.
As far as gender equality victimization is concerned men are not victimized and if they are victimized, it is due to the undeserved treatment accorded to the female population. Involving men in gender equality discussions reduces the expectations of both the genders
to manageable levels. As Watson asserts, it the time to understand gender on a spectrum and not as a set of two opposing sets of ideals
Gender equality affects men too; this prompts the need for men to speak out and be involved in gender equality issues. Even though fighting for women rights has been misinterpreted as man-hating. What we should note is that gender equality does not victimize men, but it benefits them.

This shows men are greatly advantaged to have mentors and sponsors for it is easier to trust a subset of yourself.
Gender equality also supports women to cater for the gender gap in the leadership of various organizations. In the recent past more women, 53% compared to men 47% are recruited in the white collar jobs workforce. However, more men are promoted to leadership at a faster rate compared to the women. This leads to disparity, and the problem is not just the disparity but also the failure of the men to acknowledge the lack of women in the top jobs. Gender equality is geared to correct such disabilities in the workforce and reduce the gender bias.
According to the survey carried out by the Global Leadership Forecast, it showed that gender diversity tends to benefit more the men than it does benefit the women in the organization. The survey was done on 13124 leaders across the world. It was noted that 20% of the companies performing well had more women in leadership roles compare to the 20% of the companies that performed poorly. Gender equality does not victimize the men, but it ensures
that there is a greater diversity in the decision making which cause improved problem solving and greater gains
Gender equality brings men into a productive and open-minded conversations. It is crucial in ensuring progress is made on the issues that relate to gender. It does not victimize men, but it ensures that through speaking out the issues of both genders are not met with criticism. It enables this gender issues to be handled with utmost diligence. It also provides men with the willingness of heart just to understand the women's issues by listening to them.
Gender equality is a concern to both men and women in the society hence men are not victimized by it. Gender equality promotes for an equal society and with men facing gender-based issues as lower education levels and low life expectancy. It is important for the men to understand the benefits of gender equality and how it works. The success of men to conquer such issues in the society is dependent on the involvement of men and participation of both men and women.
In conclusion, gender inequality victimizes both men and women. For a functional society to be established both the women and the men should be involved in the gender. Hence gender equality does not victimize men, but it ensures that there is a peaceful coexistence between the women and the men. It builds that bond between men and women in the society. It changes our perspective of how we view the opposite gender and defines on how we should interact for the greater benefit of us all.
