The Psychosexual Development Theory of Freud, specifically the Oral to Genital stage, had a great impact on my personal beliefs and perspectives.

Freud posits that early developmental experiences shape an individual's behavior and personality traits in adulthood. To comprehend my personal growth, I will utilize Freud's theory to assess how each stage was resolved before moving on to the next one. In addition, I plan to formulate a set of five health promotion strategies that are feasible, reasonable, and practical for enhancing my well-being. The initial phase in Freud's theory is the Oral period which spans from birth till eight months old.

During this phase, the infant finds comfort and pleasure solely through the mouth. Their oral needs being met results in satisfaction.

tween the mouth and the process of elimination. Toilet training presents a conflict between parental expectations and a child's natural needs. Overcoming this conflict leads to self-control and independence. As Freud noted, although he rarely sucked his thumb, his parents frequently reminded him not to do so.

As a child, I had the freedom to choose my own clothes, which allowed me to exercise my independence and creativity. I would lay out different outfits on the bed and seek my mother's approval, feeling like a fashion designer. These experiences helped me foster self-control and autonomy. It's interesting to note that Freud's psychosexual development theory identifies the Phallic stage as occurring between ages 3 and 6.

During my hallic stage, my parents informed me that I did not experience Oedipus complex. However, I would often walk around naked while changing. The absence o

Oedipus complex meant I did not have any unconscious sexual desire towards my mother and instead viewed my father as a rival. This lack of complex was attributable to my father's frequent absence due to work, leading my mother to become my primary caretaker and preventing the development of Oedipus complex.

During my phallic stage, I was unable to overcome my oral fixation, although I would occasionally chew on my pencil to alleviate stress and anxiety in kindergarten. However, thumb-sucking wasn't a habit I resorted to. Between the ages of 6-12, any repressed sexual desires were redirected towards socially acceptable forms of expression as described by Elaine Polan and Daphne Taylor (2007). This could often take the form of academic pursuits while friendships tended to be formed with same-sex individuals. Nevertheless, focusing on academics during my school years might not have ranked high in terms of priorities for me.

Being part of a group consisting solely of individuals of the same gender, I often caused mischief. Yet, participating in after-school activities and forming closer relationships with my peers strengthened our bonds. Even though I tried to suppress my sexual desires, I remember that they could never be completely subdued.

The situation deteriorated, prompting me to discuss it with my parents. However, I was able to resolve the struggle between sucking and biting associated with the oral stage during my latency phase with the introduction of chewing gum. Finally, the genital phase occurs from puberty to adulthood.

Prior to my puberty, I acquired my initial girlfriend at the age of 12.

Despite acquiring social communication skills and a drive for independence through my job, my inability

to achieve complete autonomy is hindered by financial reliance on my parents. Additionally, the formation of my current identity can be attributed to the five stages of psychosexual development, with the oral stage having had a substantial influence on me as evidenced by my tendency to bite objects like pencils and nails during stressful school situations.

Despite the passage of time, I still struggle to overcome my nail biting habit. While the phallic and latency stages were relatively uneventful, I briefly experienced attraction to the opposite sex during my genital stage. Health promotion encompasses efforts aimed at improving individual well-being and health, including strategies such as creating supportive environments, coordinating available resources, and respecting personal values and choices. - Oanice A.

After stopping smoking for a period of time, I started again for five months. However, I took steps to prevent relapse by quitting with friends and making bets with both smokers and non-smokers. These bets required me to pay money if I was caught holding a cigarette, which helped reduce my temptation to smoke and prioritize my health.

To attain a healthy lifestyle, it's crucial to take incremental measures. The initial step is enhancing daily sleep habits. Ideally, one should get around 8 to 10 hours of sleep every day to function at their best. Unfortunately, my current sleep duration is only between 5 and 8 hours that causes me to feel weary and uneasy throughout the day.

Making adjustments to my daily routine can significantly enhance my daily life. This includes prioritizing sufficient sleep and incorporating daytime naps. Alongside this, daily exercise for at least 30 minutes is essential. Despite having the opportunity

to attend the gym and engage in physical activity, I often struggle with finding the motivation to do so due to school-related stress.

Although it may seem tiring, incorporating exercise into my routine can ultimately enhance cognitive clarity and improve concentration in academic settings, making it a worthwhile habit.

To improve my health, I started preparing and bringing my own lunch to school two weeks ago. Although it may not be as delicious as restaurant food, I am willing to compromise on taste for the benefit of my wellbeing. Additionally, organizing my time and creating a weekly schedule in advance has proven to be an effective technique for reducing stress levels, especially when dealing with heavy workloads prior to exams.

To enhance my overall health in the long run, I aim to adhere to five general health promotion tactics. Having already embraced a nutritious diet and ceased smoking, I intend to progressively apply these strategies until my well-being is at its peak.
